This pack was produced 1939 by F. X. Schmid in Munich.

It is an advertizing pack published for the shipping lines John T. Essberger. Their name is on all the court cards, and the back show their logo.

The Kings are sea gods, the Queens women from different parts of the world, and the Jacks crew members from the ships. The pack exists as a Skat pack with 32 cards, but this is the Poker pack with 52 cards and two Jokers.
