Miniature Pack from Germany (1)

These cards were produced c. 1820 by a maker LW, and most people assume that it was Conrad Ludwig Wüst from Frankfurt/Main.

The cards are supposed to be the first with this design, which was copied and modified by several other makers, among them Johann Anton Steinberger, also from Frankfurt/Main, and Theodor Oppermann from Hannoversch-Münden. There is also an anonymous version and one distributed, but probably not produced, by Samuel Hart, New York.
