This is a pack with a German standard pattern called the Nürnberg Pattern. They are also called Schmale Karte (narrow cards), to distinguish them from the earlier Breite Karte (wide cards). It was produced by Christian Heinrich Reuter in Nuremberg. The maker's name is shown on the Deuce of Acorns, the location is on the Deuce of Bells, and the initials are on the Deuce of Leaves.

The narrow cards were developed in the second half of the 19th century from the wide cards; those reach back until around 1500. The pack shown was produced around 1900.
