Extrafeine Schwerdter Karte (Extra fine Saxon pattern cards)

These cards were produced c. 1880 by J. G. Schulze, Leipzig. The maker's name is on the Eight of Hearts.

This is an early example of double-faced cards with the Saxon pattern, with the court cards double-faced and the pip cards single-faced. The Unters show special solutions to make them double-faced.
