Luxury Piquet Cards from Leipzig

This pack was printed around 1890 by Gustav Thieme Nachf. in Leipzig. The maker's name is on the Jack of Clubs.

Cards with very similar court designs were also produced around that time by the playing-card factory in St. Petersburg (Russia). I have no idea what connection might exist between this pack and the Russian one.
