This pack was printed in or before 1859 by Lauensteins Erben in Goslar. The maker's name can be found on the Jack of Hearts.

The dating of the cards is easy, as there are two tax stamps from the Kingdom of Hannover on the Ace of Spades. The older is the faint one with a value of 10 GGROS, it was in use 1843 to 1859, and the other with a value of 12 GROS was in use 1859 to 1866.
