These cards were produced c. 1840 by an unknown maker, most probably from Germany.

The cards are similar in design to a pack by LW, assumed to have been Ludwig Wüst from Frankfurt/Main, and to a pack by Johann Anton Steinberger, also from Frankfurt/Main.

These cards are almost identical to those of a pack distributed, but probably not produced, by Samuel Hart, New York. The main difference is the plain Ace of Spades in this pack, while the Hart Ace of Spades has Hart's name on it.

I have two differently coloured versions in my collection, one is with more green robes (the one I show), the other shows some blue robes.
