This pack has been produced by Wilhelm Ockelmann in Hamburg, presumably shortly after 1900. The maker's name is on the Ace of Spades, together with Hamburger Spielkarten Fabrik (Hamburg Playing-card Factory).

It is a luxury pack. Packs with similar court cards were produced by other German makers at this time, too.

The tax stamp on the Ace of Hearts suggests that the pack was made before 1903, but the company is known only from after 1906.
