This pack was produced around 1800 by Johann Traugott Meyer in Hannover. His name is on the Jack of Clubs.
On the trump cards (except Trump-I) there is always a land animal or scene and on the other side a sea animal or scene. That is why this sort of Tarock cards is sometimes called 'Land Sea Tarock'.
On some trumps the illustrations correspond to each other, e. g. the horse and seahorse on Trump-IIII and the elephant and sea elephant on Trump-XX.
