These cards were presumably made around 1873 by Johannes Müller in Frankfurt/Main, or possibly a little later when Müller had moved his factory to Offenbach. The logo of the maker is twice on the Queen of Diamonds.

The cards have originally been made by Müller's predecessor Steinberger. They are often called 'Jagdkarte' (hunting cards), as some of the court cards carry hunting equipment.
