This pack was produced by Johann Traugott Meyer in Hannover c. 1834. The printer's name is on the Jack of Diamonds

The cards show the so-called Hamburg pattern.

As there are two tax stamps on the Ace of Spades, the pack can be rather exactly dated and characterized. It was produced before 1834 (tax stamp '9 GGR: CONV.M:') and sold after 1834 (tax stamp '10 GGROS'). This was the tax rate for 'Feine Whistkarten' (fine Whist cards).
