This pack was made around 1888 by D. Jaime Margarit in Palamós/Spain as The name means 'recreation for children', and it is a pack of 'Naipes Instructivos', educational cards. Margarit got a 'privilegio de invención' ('registered design') for them.

In the centre of each card is a small standard Spanish playing-card, and around that small illustrations are shown. Each card is related to a certain letter or syllable or a group of them, but this is not always followed strictly in the illustrations.
