This transformation pack was produced by MacLure, MacDonald & MacGregor in Manchester around 1865. The maker's name is on the Ace of Spades.
The pack is usually called Nursery Rhymes as the court cards of the red suits are related to English nursery rhymes. The other cards do not have any known relation to such rhymes.
The designs are by an unknown artist. There are several slightly different versions produced by other makers. They all have been redrawn and differ in details of the design. I am showing a version by an unknown maker from my collection.
The example shown here is special because it has a Queen of Clubs that I have not found anywhere in the literature.
