In 1897, the C. P. H. Cook Co. in Hartford, Conn. (USA) produced this pack. The maker's name and the year together with an indication of the name are in a center panel on the back:

The pack has special suit-signs related to the normal meaning of the English words for the suit-signs. The Joker is missing from my pack. It has the design of the panel that is also on the back, shown above.
