Around 1930, the American Playing Card Corporation in Portland, Maine, published the

The court cards show George and Martha Washington as King and Queen in all four suits, and workmen as Jacks. There was also a Joker coming with the pack, which is missing from mine. It is not very spectacular, anyhow.
I am not certain about the correct dating: the pack is described in the literature as having been produced in 1934, but the box was sealed with a revenue stamp that was in use 1924 to 1929.
