This pack was produced by the USPCCo in 1896. The maker's name is on the Joker, together with 'COPYRIGHTED, 1896'.

The pack shows the heads of actors or actresses, singers or dancers of the time, four on each court card or ace. On the Joker is Marshall P. Wilder. The names of the artists are mentioned at the bottom of their pictures.

When I bought this pack 13 years ago I searched the names on the internet, and I could find out details about many of them. I must confess that the only name I knew was that of the dancer Loie Fuller because there are pictures of here made by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. She is shown in the top right picture on the Ace of Diamonds.
