When Cyprus was under British government, adhesive bands were used to seal
playing-card packages.
This is a band that was in use around 1950, at the end of
the reign of George VI.
The text is 'G. R.' (for 'George Rex'), 'CYPRUS.', 'PLAYING CARDS.' and 'DUTY PAID.'.
This is a similar band that was in use probably around the same time.
The text is the same as on the previous band.
Note that the length of the band and its colour and the border are different.
